Could you give us some more details. How many tubular bells does it have? How many chime melodies does it play? What are the name of the melodies? It looks like it may have 8-9 tubes and plays the Westminster and Whittington chimes. Is that right?

From what I have been able to find out the "Grand Rapids Clock & Mantel Co."
was in business ca 1898 - 1916. They were the successor to Dryden-Anin-Rose Clock Co. They manufactured hall clocks and art mantels in Mission, Colonial, and Dutch Revival styles. I believe that they may have imported their movements from Germany as the Herschede, Hanson and the Colonial Clock Companies often did. These were high quality, well made movements. The G.R. Clock & Mantel Co. was probably a cabinet and mill-work firm that made cases for GF clocks, in addition to other woodwork.

Here is a link to an auction result for a clock very similar to yours. The clock reportedly sold for $4,650 in 2006: http://www.unitedauctionsandantiques.com/MiscInfo.html

Hope this helps get you pointed in the right direction. Please let us know if you find any additional information.
