Homesteading.... 2004 in the Mojave desert, funds low and shivering high, this little beauty winked at me from the back of a neighbors garage. Two hundred seemed steep, it wasn't airtight, but the thought of toasty warmness made me take 'her home.
2010, a little more settled in my homesteading adventure, a nice airtight now warming the corner of my home, I decided to seek out the history of my first 'Cabin Stove' whose name reminded me of my Northern California, my original home.
The suprise was all mine! Turns out that little wink from that little stove was for good cause. As JAS Graham was the founder of Wedgewood and this little Jewel was one of his first creations on that rugged California coastline, just up the bay in Newark. (Bio available at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~npmelton/sfbgrah.htm).
Now what to do with such a jewel... perhaps the last of it's kind.
Is this a museum piece? If so, how does one go about such business? Any experienced advice would be appreciated. Thank you?

I have a JAS Graham Mfg Co, Newark, CA wood heater. inside of door sayes "16 Kitchen Heater". On the top back right hand corner is the raised #46. I cannot find out anything about this stove. What is it worth, where can I sell it? I live in Brentwood, CA

I have a stove that appears nearly identical to the one posted by rearth2, except mine says "Oakwood" instead of "Sonoma". There's a raised "6-14" on the stove top. I wish there was more information on these early stoves.
