This is an German 8 day cuckoo clock. The clock is missimg the weights and has a damaged bellow other than that its in great shape. Is it worth fixing I have no clue on how to even operate it.

I have some cuckoo clocks and found they are very expensive to fix . So mine I just use for display . I think it was in hundreds to repair as I recall at Swiss Clock shop many yrs ago . Maybe it is less expensive now but they do look nice just as decorations and no bird yelling at you :-)
The Cuckoo clocks made in Black Forest were made to because it was so dark there they needed a noise to count off time by and the chirping bird was created .
I have sixteen cuckoo clocks that call out the hour and half hour . 24/7 and
always looking forward to adding another to my collection. and yes they are
expensive to repair.
I will send you some Oleg ! my goodness all those birds chirping I would rather have a rooster crow in AM so will swap for one rooster :-)
I have some working ones I guess I have 4 or 5 I know one worked because I got him off and he didn't get reset .
Here's a couple links for you to buy new bellows and weights. Fix it yourself! A new set of bellows is no big deal....

Thanks manikin, I think i will lstay with cuckoo birds. cant have live stock where i live.
LOL me neither Oleg but I can wish . I guess I will unpack my clocks and post them in next few days . I do love the craftmanship on them , you have a wonderful collection !
Oleg I said you could have my clocks if you send ME the rooster LOL not you get one I want the rooster :-)
