    I was told this was a U.S.N World War 2 deck hat, but not sure if that is correct or not. The inside of the cap says size 7.5 and looks like its made of wool for colder weather I imagine. I was curious as to any information on this hat I could find, in really nice shape.

      As part of military garmet tags there will usually be a year spelled out or it will be incorporated into a stock number.
