I have so many dolls from my childhood that have great sentimental value. This doll I believe I got from my grandmother but like many of my dolls I really don't know much about other than a little research I have done. What a great this sight has been to help at least identify many of my dolls that have no visible identifiers. This Lenci Doll does have tags but I have not been able to find out anything about her. She is a beautiful doll and in really good condition. If anyone can tell me her story and a possible value. thank you in advance for taking the time to share your knowledge and expertise!

Hi you Lenci is beautiful ! Wow Grandma was good to you ! She is a doll from Child series lenci did she could be from 300 series . Hopefully someone with a book of just Lenci's can give her the name she may have had . I just call them Child series dolls and they are still selling high in today's depressed doll world . Thank you for sharing she is in magnificent condition ! Love her
Lenci made dolls from late 20's to now they are still producing them . Yours not being able to hold to look at close I would venture to say likely very late 30's and more apt to be 1940's . What yr did you get her ?

Unfortunately, my grandmother is no longer here for me to ask. She would would give me dolls as I was growing up (I'm now 50). I just recently started researching one-by-one all the dolls. Sometimes I would get some when we traveled. Thank you so much for giving me this information. Her tag says 111/9 is that the series? The patent date on the tag is sept 8-1921 I assumed that's when the doll was made. I have seen postings of Lenci dolls but I have not come across one that looks like this one. I will research the Child series. I am so glad I stumbled on this site - your knowledge of the Lenci's was very helpful - thank you Manikin!! I hope to post some more pictures of my dolls and maybe pass some one to me daughters and future granddaughter! :)

I added a couple more pictures that might help identify her ~ thank you!

The 111 is that she is from 100 series of Child dolls . I am going to post a page of her value and will take down as soon as you grab the pics ok :-)

Here is one with your series number . Yours is much better and her dress is stunning . I am sure she would sell for much more than this one .
      How tall is she ?

Manikin - you are the best .... I agree my girls is much prettier .... she is about 13" with hat on a little taller! She has one tiny little hole under her chin ... very small and not noticeable till I gave her a once over. I am debating on whether to put her on ebay and where to start bidding. thank you again for your follow up!

Ebay is very unpredictable in recent yr . If you list her include Italy in bidding although it takes a month to get there so it is up to you . Anyway IF she was mine depending on that no one I knew would buy her as sell a lot to local doll collectors from my doll club so ebay fee's I would expect to get near 500 for her and hope for a lot more . With the economy down all over world prices are too . But if you have something very good like your doll people will pay up . he is Blue booked at more than 500.00 . Glad you found this site and glad to have you and post your dolls as you can :-) Good Luck let me know what she sells for ok

I have thought about your doll and I would start at 300.00 if I were you that would be the very least you should get :-)

Thx for your suggestion ... ebay is unpredictable so I would be heartbroken if it sold for less than its true value.

Yes it is a risk I have lost on ebay selling and then been surprised that it sold real high . I think safe is your best bet and although I don't like reserves and never bid on them some will and if she doesn't met it you get to keep her .
You can email me at Manikin1234@aol.com if you like ok
