Baccarat perfume that stands 5 1/2" tall with the stopper.

The stopper is marked in two spots with "148" (shown in photos) and the base is marked with the same style "148".

I am not that familiar with Baccarat and would appreciate any comments on the age of this perfume.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Baccarat aging is difficult. Best done by the color. The deeper the amber color the closer to ninteenth century. See they started going more pinkish toward WWI because of the gold required to make the amber color and gold was better utilised elsewhere at WWI and after. The numbers denotes shape size. By the golden amber color with light touch of near yellow indicates 1900 -1910 to me. There are no hard and fast rules but only experience and having seen tons of the swirl over the years at the Baccarat museums and elswhere that is my educated guess. Technically your piece is Rose Tiente despite low yellow content and predominance of clear. Very rarely is Rose Tiente got the extreme fire which my vase has. These were production pieces after all.

Hi, I have the exact same one but mine has "LJ" on the stopper. Have you found any more about this beautiful bottle?
