I BOUGHT THIS TODAY AFTER FINALLY GETTING THE OWNER TO PRICE IT. IT IS IN GOOD SHAPE PHYSICALLY. IT NEEDS NEW DECALS AND A GOOD CLEANING. THE WHEELS ARE PRESSED TIN ALSO. NO IDEA AS TO AGE. IT IS 22 1/2 INCHES LONG BY 5 INCHES TALL. ANY INFO ON AGE OF THIS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

This is cool. It's Marx, '50s at the latest. The litho doesn't look bad, but it was definitely played with for a long time!

      Great looking truck.

I'd rather have the original (partial) decal than a new full one. I am not that familiar with the toy market-- will new decals enhance values?

As a general rule, replacing the decals would harm the value of an item like this. Unless you can find NOS decals or parts and you really know what you're doing you should never try to "repair" or "restore" old toys like this, especially when they are as delicate as this (tin, litho, etc.) It's almost certain that a professional restoration would cost more than the final product would be worth.
