Here I have a couple of pieces of Dugan Glass in the Metropolitan Pattern. Deco all the way. The only lamp I have ever seen in it. I love this satin black production glass with the raised applied decoration and keep searching for more. This bowl and lamp are the only two I have found so far. Dugan came out with this pattern in 1929 I think. By that time they were known as Diamond glass. They are most noted for their various and assorted carnival glass along with a bit of a bitter feud between themselves and Harry Northwood who invented so much glass at the turn of the 19th to 20th century. They operated in the Indiana Pennsylvania area and produced an abundance of wares in all sorts of styles, colors, and techniques. Excellent reference books exist on their work.
