Need help in identifying the maker of this baby doll. He is all bisque, 3 1/2" tall. He is only jointed at the shoulders with wire and he is holding a milk-bottle on one hand. The markings as follow. 747 Germany 8 1/4B. He is in very good condition but I need to give him a bath. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Several German Companies used the number 747 Mac . The doll is from the end of Bisque dolls about 1920-30 . What is the red thing in hand ? It is a painted bisque vs fired paint . Nice little novelty doll . Cute . Most collectors for this size doll are not concerned with exact maker as they have no huge value . If she or he was dressed cute with a bonnet would be precious !

Thank you Manikin for taken the time to write. The red thing in the hand is the nipple of the bottle that he/she is holding. My encyclopedia of markings and molds, in there is a "Delarue 747" mold, but I have look all over the internet and can not find anything about "Delarue 747". ????.

mac I have seen your little doll listed as just a 747 mark and sold that way . From all my resources she somehow seems not to be listed. Now the fact that she came out at end of bisque era there were several companies that did not last long as they tried to continue making them . I will do more research for you ok

Thank you Manikin. I click on the site, it was interesting to find the same doll and sad for not knowing the makers of some dolls, for I'm perpetual at trying to find the makers of dolls. you are correct about so meny companies whent out of business and they did not kept any records of their products/markings of dolls. Now we find them in sales and can not identify these sweet-dolls
