This lamp was purchased new in 1982 and has been with me ever since. The price at that time was $229. I have always loved this lamp. It is signed Mexico in the actual solder work although most mexican lamps came with a made in mexico label. I have several and they came new all from the same place. The large pendent lamps in clear glass ran approx $90. The table lamps in heavy bases ran more and the floor lamps and repro dragonfly etc ran the most. Now most stained glass is chinese made and of very low quality of construction. Look at picture and see the smoothness and density of solder. Every joint needs to be this perfect with brass glass edging like this lamp has. If the lamp is done with simple soft lead without reinforcing it will separate simply because of gravity.
