    HEAVY BLACK GLASS, TRIANGULAR DESIGN. SHOULD BE VERY OLD, NO MAKER'S MARK, SAYS STERLING ON THE DESIGN OVERLAY.

      New Martinsville Glass Company patented this design for a "puff jar or similar article" in 1924. It was made in other colors of the era including pink and green, also with frosted finish. The silver deposit design was probably done by a decorating company, though it's possible NM may have decorated them at the factory.
