I don't see a Harison Fisher signature. While it was painted in his style, I doubt that is his work. Facial features and hands don't show the quality of his work. You have a nice original watercolor, probably by a student artist copying his work.

I thought that too because of the no signature - but when I took it to get it evaluated - that is what they said it was .. I wonder why they would lie ? he didnt sign alot of his work i hear

I would have to know who evaluated? Did you pay for an appraisal? The best way to learn is compare the work side by side and compare the detail. Look at the lips eye's and hands. It was quite common for art students to copy commercial illustrators work and style for practice.

It may not be a case of lying-- just limited knowledge or an appraiser who got into an area they didn't know real well. It happens all the time.

You will see the same thing on here.

Collectors (with years of experience) will often disagree on the authenticity, age or attributions of an item.

it makes me mad that when I get something to be evaluated and they say one thing then I take it to another and they something else you are so right about the disagree part- I just don't know who to believe now . that sucks

      Agree-- it can be frustrating.

      I like your watercolor!
