I'm a sucker for mottled glass when it's done well, and this is a beautifully done deco period piece. It has an acid-stamped Made In Czechoslovakia mark in an oval (one of the NON-Loetz oval marks). I love the deep red color. The gilding on the rim is unusual - it continues down into the inside of the piece, where there is some white showing underneath - I'm not quite sure what to make of that. This shape has been observed in other decors known to be Kralik and marked with the more traditionally known Czechoslovakia semi-circular mark. Thanks to "the glasshound librarian" Jericho Mora for his help in unraveling the mystery!

Thanks, Al and Jericho - it's 8.5" tall and the bottom is about 6" in diameter across the widest part.

Hi Bohemianglassandmore , I t looks to me like the mottling is a surface treatment and the base glass being milk glass . The guilding on top and the inner top is to cover what was not dipped or coated. Am I correct?

Hi Marty - No, the interior is not milk glass - the white seems to end just inside the neck.
