Pencil-nec…
(104 items)
Here's a fun item not often found ~ an advertising mechanical pencil for Flying-A gasoline with a blimp floating in the oil-filled upper section. The reverse side of the blimp reads "TYDOL" and imprinted into the lower metal section is the Veedol Motor Oil emblem. The upper metal section reads "FRANK MURACA~ 24th ST. COR.(NER) PINE".
I collect this sort of pencil (they are usually marked "Secretary Pen Co." or "Progressive Products"). I have several different oil co. examples. They also made these to advertise automobiles by various makers and many other commercial products. They can be found on ebay occasionally, but the oil co. ones like this seem to be very uncommon if not downright rare.
