I wonder if anyone here could help me, I've acquired an old camera, or at least parts of one, and I'm looking for help in two aspects, partly identifying and aging it, but primarily getting information that would help me restore the camera to a functional state so I can take pictures with it (I have a set of glass plates that are unexposed, and I have found that it is relatively easy to get hold of more on eBay and the like).
There is an image of it with more details of what I want to do here on my blog:

At this stage, I'm really just looking to identify the make and model of it though. I will soon be able to get some better pics of it.
I hope you may be able to shed some light on this. I've spent many hours trawling the internet, the closest I've found, that was suggested to me by someone, was that it could be a Shew Xit, but I've not been able to find any Shew camera that is similar.
Many thanks for any help you may be able to give.
Sorry about the bad pic at the moment, I will be able to take better ones when I get back home in a few days!
What you have is not a camera; it is however a focusing bellows from an enlarger; often taken for a camera part. Your photograph does not allow me to be certain of just who made it, but many were made in Chicago that have the look of yours.
