    (310 items)

Here are a few more houses, etc. in my neighborhood. The first is a shed that sits about 400 ft. down the road. I have never been it, but it looks good. Around here, old buildings tend to have nasty things hiding in them, black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, scorpions, westerm diamondback rattlesnakes, hornets, wasps, killer bees(yes we have them here) and assorted other fun creatures. I have been scorpion stung numerous times and don't particularly enjoy it, and you will never out run mad hornets or bees. The only time to investigate them is when the temp is around freezing. Note the vintage farm implement.
    Enjoy
I just threw the buzzards in.

thank you Manikin EJW-54 & dermead
You are correct dermead, I believe it was mooved at some time, around here many old houses are on post & beam, after many years the cedar posts rot and have to be replaced by concrete blocks.

I would like that windmill, but I might be able to find one closer to home.

thank you walksoftly & Hedgewalker, I would like one too, but would have to take it apart to get it home. Some people around here still use them.

We have many places like this around here, this area is full of them. I used to do a lot of metal detecting, but just do not have the time anymore.

Keep in mind that those buzzards are collector's also. Don't fall down or you could become a collector's item. Hehehehehe! I like old buildings. Thanks.

thank you very much fhrjr2, I will try to stay on my feet, however, at my age that gets more difficult all the time.

Thank you very much Manikin, kerry10456, & PhilDavidAlexanderMorris. This is a good time of the year to go poking around, minimal creepy crawlies in winter. There is an unwritten rule around here, "When poking around, never, never put your fingers where you cannot see". Just follow that and you should be ok.
As I travel around this area, I will continue to take photographs of interesting things to post.
Thank you everybody very much for the interest, I am glad you enjoy them.

Where do you live? In ghost town? lol
I love abandoned buildings too. At the same time I find them exciting, full of promise and creepy.
