This looks exactly as I remember my first skateboard, in about 1962 or 1963. I rode that thing all over the sidewalks, curbs and drives of Orange County Ca, when I was in hight school. It is made of several plies of laminated wood and still has the remains of some sort of sticker on the bottom, but there is nothing readable. As is visible in the photos, the board has a rising tail. The board measures 21.5" stem to stern and is 6.6" at its widest. The wheels are roughly 2.5' in diameter. I was wondering if anyone out there might be able to identify the manufacturer by the shape, size or kind of wheels/trucks that are on it. Thanks for any input.

the best place to get a answer is from the skatelab in simi valley...look on google.
they will know exactly the answer.
to me....it looks newer than early 60's,,cause of the curved back part
i dont think those were like that back then,,,,maybe early 70's type.
idk for sure..tell me what u find out.

You are probably right. Remembering back to the early sixties requires peering thru some fog or smoke, if you know what I mean. I think it was the laminated wood that kind of threw me, as I do remember that part. And the smallness of the board. I had some great times on that thing. Next best thing to being at Huntington Beach/T-Street/Cottons/Swami's et al. Those were good times......I now consider this mystery; SOLVED!
