I have this painting signed in pencil by Edward Hopper and it is of a nude woman laying down. I have found out some information on the web about the artist but I don't know if this piece is real. It appears to be hand signed in pencil. The painting is about 16" Wide and 12" tall. The artwork appears to be original but I don't know if this was a mass produced print and whether or not it is hand signed. Any information about this artist and painting would be greatly appreciated.

You should have it professionally appraised. It's impossible to tell from a photo if it's a real watercolor, let alone an Edward Hopper.

BTW, the pose and artistic quality looks like student work to me!

This would of been one of his early works in his career, called "Reclining Nude"
They do make hand made water color reproductions as you can find here.

Yours looks like a copy (not a reproduction) of Edward Hopper's original. In addition to the difference in color, if you look at the feet, you can see a big difference in the quality of the artwork. Definitely looks like student work!
