I was helping my boss move, and what was left they didnt want,, i first got just the flat wood pieces,,in a shipping box from florida, wrapped in 1976 florida news paper,, kept it becuz the wood was absolutely beautiful,,a week later we went over there to finish cleaning up and my boss asked me if i'd like theses 2 elephants,,she was going to take them to the dump if not,,i said sure ,,i could make book ends or something,,when i got home ,,i'd remembered the wood and to my surprize the elephants n wood pieces all went together.
I've been trying to find out more about these 2 end tables,, they are both different,,i think it may be teak wood.asked my boss aboss about it and she said it was her x-son-in-laws , grandma pieces,,they lived in florida,,but he said he didnt want them,,
The ivory tusks have been broke n pulled off,, im guessing,, but they are very beautiful,, i was wondering if anyone knew anymore about where they may have come from,, and if they are worth anything.
the reason i think its teak ,,becuz all i had to do wasd wash the dirt off,, and rub with a dry cloth,, and they were shinny,,and thats what i heard teak is like.
Thank you,, Mary
wonderful pieces my wife would go nuts too. she has a lot of elephants.
