    loftbed
    (73 items)

Bought this online last week. It is in transit at the moment and should be here in a few days. I was told it is a Wayne 228 from about 1918-28.
Anyone know the history of these things, how they were used etc?

I think I read somewhere that if a store wanted to sell gas they could use this cart to wheel out to your car and fill er up. I'm not positive about this, hopefully someone else knows something.

There was one of these restored on "American Restoration", they did an amazing job. Sorry I can't find the link right now, but they called it a gas cart also, used to bring the gas to the cars, prior to gas stations being everywhere.

It is a fuel delivery unit. I didn't see the gallon indicator. Found the website on it. Have fun with it

Thanks for the reply s, Actually I new it was a gas cart. What I meant by the request for information about its use was, were they used to service airplanes, large
gas powered equipment etc; things that generally couldn't pull up to the pump? I can't seem to find any definitive info on just these things.

      Gotwire,
The gallon indicator is out of site on the other side.
