Hi everyone, this is my 'Our Lindy' doll from 1928, just after the man himself, Charles Lindbergh, had flown across the Atlantic and become a star. He was made by Regal Doll Corp, as you can see from the following link:

    http://dollreference.com/regal_doll_corp.html

I love him and he's in perfect condition, but I can't for the life of me find out how much his originally price. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help will be massively appreciated.

    Best,

    Sean

Are you asking what he sold for in 1928 ? It would have been likely around 5.00 give or take a dollar back then or are you wondering what it is worth today which is more pertinent ?
he is great piece . Love him

Hi Manikin. What I was really after was his original price, but what he's worth today would also be helpful. Do you think $5 is definitive? Thanks so much for the comment.

I found this on line, the doll sold for $950. But it appears yours is missing his flight suit which I think would affect the price considerably.

I agree with rocker the one I also saw had a flight suit as well so resell would be much less than all original , I would say the doll did not sell originally for more than 5.00 and that was a lot of money back then ! He is great piece to bad his flight suit is missing . Collectors want all original but for a person that does not need perect he would still sell at a nice price . Todays market is slow so I would hold onto him maybe until things pick back up in price . He should still sell for a nice sum as is .

All that being said, if he was mine and I intended on keeping him I would do a search on e-bay for the same doll, and use saved search for any future sales. It being a composition head the chance of finding one with a bad head but good clothes should be fairly good.
When I was 10 and walking home from school I picked a old scrapbook out of a trash can. It was all period pieces, newspaper clippings , photos, ect about Lucky Lindy. It started my lindy collection which includes records, toys, books, and of couse the album.

I just came across the doll, it belonged to my father's aunt! I do not know how much she paid for it or where she got it. I got it from my Dad and sold it to Pawn Stars in Vegas. They came here for a show. Glad you are enjoying him! Pat
