How exciting. I have that Southern Girl, left to me by my aunt.
I found her in an antique mall in Illinois heading home from Florida. I walked in the door, went down the 1st isle to the 1st booth & there she was, just couldn't resist. Did you notice she won a blue ribbon? :>)
Yes I did! She is great.
Here is mine. My Grandmother gave her to me when I was little. For years my Aunt said "You have my doll" and teased me about her forever. I presented her back to her some years ago. When she passed away she came back to me, via her daughter. She was gifted to me twice and I love her :)

She is beautiful, thanks for sharing your heartwarming story. Does your girl have her original shoes? I can't tell since her dress is floor length. My girl does, they are kind of a peach color to match her dress.
She does, and the original ribbon around her wrist :)
Oh super !! It looks like your wrist ribbon and ribbon bow at the waist match. Mine has a teal colored grosgrain ribbon bow at the waist (but none on her wrist) which matches some of the design in the dress. Seems to be original, what do you think? How lucky for you to find a BLYTHE doll, everyone seems to be clamoring for one. :>)
Oh she is all original I'm sure, and a real stunner. I found that Blythe doll for a buck, at the bottom of a box at a yearly flea market. She was missing a leg but had her outfit, and lucky enough no one cut her hair. I didn't keep her, but it was a fun auction to watch!
