She has been in our family a very long time however I can not find any information on her other than what the bottom of her shoe's read: Made in Italy "Rosy" 18-20....She is all clothe and jointed arms and legs. Her head though is almost like a thick paper mache, not sure, it is hollow. She is beautiful..She is 6 1/2 inches tall and her make up looks great.. I want to know more about this doll if anyone can help. I believe she is a Lenci Doll however I am not sure. Help....
Hi your doll is not a Lenci , She is a what we call Lenci Look a Like . Face is wrong and clothes are wrong for a lenci doll they used very high quality clothes usually of felt but sometimes organdy. I believe She was made by Italarts in Italy. Very nice doll and hope this helps I am sure you wanted her to be a Lenci But love her anyway :-)
Here is one similar but smaller

thanks so much for the info. I will look into it. I have been looking all over for info on her.
Lenci only did felt faces for one so that alone eliminates her , I am 99% sure the name I gave you is correct for her . But to many other things as I mentioned are wrong for Lenci also . She is beautiful doll however .
thanks so much for your help and i believe you are right as she is similar to the one on ebay, the face anyway however she is all clothe and jointed arms and legs and he fingers are so nicely sewn in. yeah she is cool however i am down sizing on everything that i had in storage and she is going as well. thanks
Hi I have a collection of these type dolls. Mine also says Rosy 18-20 on the feet however mine are different and dressed in costumes from different countries. I have the boxes they are in. One indicated Carla with the brand name Firenze. From what I have found out they are look alikes for the Lenci. Hope this helps. I am researching also. These were given to me and my sister when we were in grade school===I am 64 now. My mother worked at a local toy store and these came in once a month and dressed in clothes representing different countries.
