A pair of i-linja bottles.
Koristepullo - a decorative bottle.
Put together they seem to define a shape in between them that is similar to many of the modernist designs of Finland.

Timo Sarpaneva (31 October 1926 – 6 October 2006), was one of the great personalities of Finnish design.
Height 24.5 cm / 9.6 inches
Diameter 12cm / 4.7 inches
Weight of items 550 grams & 920 grams.
The blue one just has TS as a signature and the "lila" has the full Timo Sarpaneva signature as seen in the last photo with the model number.
Strangely it's the "lila" that weighs more than the blue one.

I had only one book when I first got started Scandinavian Design/Objects of a Life Style by Eileene Harrison Beer.
It was published in 1975 and I bought it a few years later in the early eighties in a remaindered bookstore. It was definitive for me. I set about looking for glass, ceramics, textiles, silver wood etc and used it to sift through the thrift stores. I have used the Taschen Decorative Art series as well. I got in early but the really good stuff has always been difficult to find here in Australia at my budget price. There were others who bought the important pieces that came up in the auction houses. A few crucial dealers have been hoarding for years as well.
I'd love to know the name of the book you mean.
Some of these books are more expensive than some of the items within.
I'm lucky to have friends with good book collections and we share information.
