....Lamp is complete and in working condition. None of the glass panels are cracked or broken. Very heavy. Handed down in my family. Dates to at least the '20s.

Hello qmong, your lamp was made by the Empire Lamp Co. of Chicago, IL around 1910-1920. Your lamp appears to be in excellent condition. One thing that does confuse me is that Empire refused to use any color other that amber slag glass in their shades; yet yours is a sunset color. I am sure your glass is original and might be a little rare. I had a similar Empire with the Pagoda shade, but amber glass and it sold very well at auction. I think that the auction value of yours is $1,500.00+. By the way, don't worry if you can't find a signature for Empire on your lamp; they seldom signed. I hope this helps.

Just saw your comments on our {Empire Lamp Co.}, lamp.
I very much appreciate you taking the time to add some information for us. This seems to line up very well from it's history. This lamp has been in my family from when it was purchased originally. The glass is absolutely original. The colors depicted in my photos are very close to it's actual appearance.
In the past we did have it set up in our living room as a working lamp, but now for severa decades, it's been wrapped and stored here at our home.
Again, thanks for your estimate of possible value and other information.

      Regards: Qmong
