1950's cast aluminum carousel horse that is over five feet in length, it sits on a nice pedestal base. I picked this up a few months ago and it's been sitting out in the barn waiting for a paint job, haven't decided if I should attempt this or have it professionally done to make it look it's age. Thanks for looking.

I would love to paint that for you but it would cost you too much and take me too long! lol

Thanks Manikin, officialfuel, and EJW-54. EJW I would love to restore this, but not sure how to paint this and make it look like it was painted in the 50's, may cost a fortune to have someone else do that.

Way Cool!!! Definitely worthy of a pro paint job, but I'm sure it would cost a small bundle too.

Thanks Phildavidalexandermorris for the tip, I may try and paint this myself in the spring time and save myself a few dollars.

Hey chevy59, thats a super piece for sure. These were only painted professionally from the factory, they were field painted many times after as each season of use past. With a bit of work, masking tape, and a color scheme in mind, I'm sure you could do a bang-up job of bringing this old horse back to life. This is a do-it-yourself project all day long!! Either way, it'll look fantastic, good luck & don't forget to post the end result!!
