I picked these up at an estate sale and can't find any info on them. They are stork scissors and measure about 4 1/4" overall. It appers to be stamped CUTCO - RUSSIA. Also do you think the nearside tip is broken or was it designed that way. Just curious if anyone has ever seen these before and if they have any value.

The Cutco Company is based in Olean, NY. I have seen Cutco scissors and knives but never anything stamped Russia. Perhaps if you contact them, they could advise you. In regards to the one tip, it is broken but the other tip could be shortened to match,

They are embroidery scissors. The tip is indeed missing which unfortunately, the scissors are useless. Both sides must be pointed as embroidery stitches are very tight.

I've a pair like these but also a pair of sugar tongens in the same style . I came accross a dutch antique shop on ligne witch has a pair for sale, they say that they were used to cut the navel-string. Starks have been always related with giving birth as well as sugar sugar-beans. http://vanleestantiques.com/object.php?id=873
