    You all are so smart here on CW, I decided to post this to see if anyone knows anything about this black baker, with a pie in one hand and a cherry red thumb. I have looked everywhere, and not body knows where this image comes from. His features are exagerrated but he does not look like a typical piece of black americanan.

    Could this image have been a prototype for a bakery? There are numbers at the base which indicated it had a "patent pending". I believe this came from somewhere in the American south.

    Does anyone know anything about this little man?

      Reminds me of Fable . Looks like an advertising piece . Very cute little guy :-)
      Little Jack Horner
      Sat in the corner,
      Eating a Christmas pie;
      He put in his thumb,
      And pulled out a plum,
      And said 'What a good boy am I!

      Oops hit the enter to fast . I think it is newer from 80's forward and that it was done as African American .How tall is he ? Could be just a novelty piece for a kids bedroom . He is precious and yes I think he is Little Jack Horner

      He could be (an African American version of) Little Jack Horner. He's about 12 inches high and weighs about 10 pounds. Not sure what he is made of...maybe solid plaster?
      On the bottom it says "Reg U.S. Patent Off" and "Abra" with a copyright symbol. I have searched everywhere for info on "Abra" to no avail.

      This may help . It could be from Philippines ? Abra (province), a province of the Philippines .
