Lubesters are pretty common, so I didn't have any qualms about cutting one up. I used a saber saw with a metal cutting blade to remove the front. I used 1/4" wall board drilled for shelf supports and fitted to the exact dimensions (back and sides) these are held in place by the glass shelves. It makes an appropriate display case for the oil cans.
Cool, Thats a good idea since a lot of these sit outside rusting away on farms and such, I think I might steal your idea.
