Many people know Ryan Kerrigan for the "phan" art he has created for Phish concerts, but Kerrigan also makes greeting cards, mandala posters, and original butterfly drawings. Kerrigan's work has a psychedelic, almost naive spirit to it, which seems perfectly in sync with his gentle personality when you meet him face to face.
One of the things I appreciate most about Kerrigan is that he makes rock-poster art affordable. For example, the blue poster he created for The Rock Poster Society's Festival of Rock Posters in Golden Gate Park on 10/9/10 (see second photo from the right) was just 10 bucks!
I'm kicking myself, though, for not coughing up $15 for his riff on Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" (far right photo, at bottom). It features the members of Phish hanging out in a place called Nectar's, which is a popular club in the band's hometown of Burlington, Vermont.
