More from my grandmother's scrapbook made for her by her grandmother. I would love to know who the the man with the white beard and black jacket is! The first man was an English politician of some sort.

Hedge, It makes you wonder what the motivation was! You found a great link thanks. I wikkied him but I just don't get why he is in the book :)

Perhaps the Duke of Lancaster was interesting in his own right?? lol

At first I thought the white bearded man might have been Darwin but definitely not! He looks familiar to me though, just can't place him!

Yeah I could see him being VERY interesting.Maybe there isn't that much depth...maybe she just liked the pics.I'll have to read the article when I'm bored and need some excitement.

Yeah, I think she must have just liked the picks. Let me know about that article when you're done studying it lol. Thanks again...

I think those cats are by Louis Wain before he went totally 'troppo'!

Mind you a Louis Wain ceramic cat is still on list of the 'most wanted'.

Vet, I just Wikkied Wain. Very interesting! So now I know the story of the cat artist- poor man. Thanks.

Hi again. Google Louis Wain and go to "images". It's the most psychedelic page you'll ever see. And now they think it was merely Asperger's. The colour combos are more Van Gogh!

      H. G. Wells said of him, "He has made the cat his own. He invented a cat style, a cat society, a whole cat world. English cats that do not look and live like Louis Wain cats are ashamed of themselves."

Hey Vetraio, I did check out his color-crazy artwork. I love it! Love the H. G. Wells quote too, so true. His cats were so expressive and very funny. Thanks for the introduction!
