I purchased this Older Model Toy Car at a garage sale recently.

I am trying to figure out what type of toy this is? Lenght of this toy car is 8" height 2.5" Width 2.5". Material appears to be a nickle plated color over pewter. Wheels are metal and covered by rubber. Marking inside the roof shows No 2 S dc as shown in the second picture. Anyone has any information on this or if these are collectable please let me know.

    Thank you for your help.

Any chance it is a plated Banthrico item or perhaps one of the many models that have been cast from 2nd or 3rd (or other) molds based on Banthrico models? Or, perhaps the National Products promo (they were eventually purchased by Banthrico)? Just some thoughts.
