I haven't been out for a while, with the holidays and all, but today I got to shop a store that was never open when I go there. It looks tiny from the outside, but it's a whole 2 story house! While there I managed to find some really cool items, this lamp among them. The figure is very Deco, a lady with a harp, the globe is also Deco. It's very clean and in great shape, but with no marking or labels that I can find. A great bonus, it glows brightly under the black light! I'm guessing it's 40s or so, but if anyone has any more info, please let me know. Thanks for looking!
Hi Upstate! Been wondering where youve been. This is gorgeous! You have excellent taste. Hope you had a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!
Thanks, Amber, and same to you and yours!
OMG it's gorgeous! My two favorite things - art deco lamps and vaseline / uranium glass all in one! This is more likely 1930s - there is currently a beautiful blue one listed on Ebay with a skyscraper torchiere for $99.00. Decogirl you must have read my profile ! I have been too envious to comment on this item but this is one of the most gorgeous lamps I've seen !! I have seen these on Ebay but they are ALWAYS out of my range. : (
Thanks for the kind words Deco, Hedge and Bellini. This just goes to show that if you're out looking, you can find these items. They had it marked $45, I got her down to $30. Keep hunting, everyone, there's great sutff out there!
Hedgewalker- how awesome- we have the exact same taste!
upstatenycollector- Holy Cow- $30 is an absolute steal! What an incredible find!!
Thanks, Decogirl, I thought so too.
I saw one of those are the Antique shop at my town, but it had a large chip on the bottom!
No chips on this one! Thanks for looking, Shawn.
Hi, I have a duplicate to this lamp in on opaque pink. When I purchased it in Austin, Texas it was one of a pair. I only purchased one, and the owner put the other piece aside for me. Unfortunately, he went out of business before I returned for the other piece. Mine has only the base, and not the lamp piece itself. I would be interested in anything you find out about the manufacturer.
