Here is another "small" item I picked up this week. I am hoping that someone on here can translate what it says. It looks like german but I am not sure. It has nice details and has some age surface cracks. It also looks like it was formed as one piece, and it is very light weight. I hope someone recognizes it. Thanks for looking ! Thrifty Gypsy

I can only read part of it. But it speaks of your picture in a dream and to gesture or call forth the stein before the alarms. Not much help I know but I loved living in Germany and enjoy items from Europe in general. Thanks for showing it. There is one other possible translation but the words aren't appropriate for this forum.

Thanks fhrjr2 for the "like" and especially for the information ! Hopefully I have not posted anything x-rated ! lol. That is really intersting considering the size of the stein and a phrase similiar to that. I would really like to know what the purpose of this item was. Thanks for your help ! Thrifty Gypsy

Thanks Manikin, I always appreciate you looking and commenting on my items. I value your opinions and comments very much ! I have enjoyed your posted items and learning some about your family from them. You have some of the best stories to ! I am still curious as to this item and what it was used for. I wonder if the phrase on the stein is part of a larger story ? Thanks for your help and I look forward to talking to you later ! Thrifty Gypsy

Here is my mother's translation - she is German - It means "when I saw your picture in my dreams the alarm clock stopped from fear, panic.

Thank you curious2beleive and your mother for the translation. That is a pretty interesting "insult" ! It sounds like a phrase I have heard before, your face could stop a clock. lol. I still find it unusual to find on a small item such as this. Maybe it was something you could place without being spotted ! Sort of a secret insult. Thanks again for your help. This is definitely a unusual item. Thrifty Gypsy
