Ok all you folks who like to keep everything old in thier original condition, STOP READING NOW!!! This is how I got this old beauti, but I've already dis-assembled and started to restore. I'm making a new grill, fixing the worn wheels and axles ,and thinking about a color scheme. My 2 options are: 1) replicate an original Coca-cola version(Red body, yellow bed, or 2) "57 chevy turqupoise with off white fenders & black running boards.
Any thoughts??suggestions welcome!
Hey Bernie, I love it! Even though it won't be original, I would go Coke all the way!
Could be a very cool restoration!
Thank Perry, I'm leaning towards that option myself. Always good to have another piece for the "coke room"!
Thank-you BELLIN68!!

I had one of the original Coke trucks like that if you want a photo. Thomas Toys sells the grill and wheels for it. http://www.thomastoysantiquetoyparts.com/main.sc

Thank-you Scandi!
Thank-you AzTom, I've contacted them, still waiting to hear back. Thanks for the help! Will post when done.
On your truck, how about Pepsi blue body and cream stake body. Oh! yes, how are you making a grille? I have several of Marx and Wyandotte pressed steel trucks as well, and I need some grills. Please advise. Good luck with your restoring. Kidtwist.
Thank-you kidtwist for the comments. There is a link above to order, or what I did was to make a paper template, tracing it out onto sheet galv. that I had, and cutting it out. Then lots of shaping & triming!
