Nice clock Darren, sorry it's going to the garage. dont think that would be very wise place to store it.

Nice clock, the garage doesn't sound like a good place to place this timepiece.

      Hi Darren,
Your New Haven "Erie" Regulator is from circa 1911. It's definitely not junk and should be stored in a dry, climate controlled area. The case was made of solid oak with an antique finish. The clock probably had the word "Regulator" stenciled in an arc across the glass pane above the pendulum weight. Your clock would be worth more if it still had it. These clocks came in three different configurations: simple time; time & strike; and time & strike with calendar movements. Yours looks like a time and strike which listed for $8.75 in 1911. That's about $200 in 2010 dollars. In 2000, Tran Duy Ly appraised these clocks in mint, original condition at $500. I would guess that your clock could sell at the right auction for somewhere around $175, plus or minus $25 (if it is clean and running). Sell it on eBay and keep the money for yourself! :) Search on Item numbers: 190605351884, 380374077176 and 200690283566. They are all New Haven Regulators which have sold for some decent prices on eBay recently. Good luck!
