was metal detecting at a old vacant farm house and hit heavy signal and this is what i dug up. and some indian head pennies and a 1906 liberty v nickle. forgot to mention that it is stamped us government property oc
construction helmet, not a military helmet....
but tlm i forgot to mention on the inside it says us government property oc
here is some more pics of the inside tim yried to take pic of the stamp but didnt turn out to good
possible government contract helmet...construction helmet, not military by any means....
hmmm has me curious now on exactly what it is
see my collection, I have WWI and WWII helmets on display. The crown of your helmet is way too tall, the liner (or whats left of it) is not military, and the inside of the helmet is white....I am sure the outside was white at one time as well. For sure some type of contractor/construction helmet from the 1940's
yes the inside is white and the outside does look like it was white and painted black at one time. must of been a government contractor
anybody know what the oc means on this helmet
