This was given to me by my father who received this Seth Thomas 8 Day clock for his high school graduation in 1959 or 1960. I'm not sure whether this was new when it was given to him or had been passed down from a family member. Any thought?
Seth Thomas made a lot of Tambour models. What are the measurements. It looks like it says "8-day" on the dial behind the hands. Are there winding holes in the back? Does it strike the hour/half-hour?
This looks like it might be a model called the "Corinth Mini" circa 1921. Described by Ly as having a solid mahogany case, 8-day lever time movement. 1 1/2-inch porcelain dial. Brass sash with beveled glass. Height, 4 1/2 inches. Base, 10 1/4 inches. Does your clock fit that description?
