Scarce 1928 first edition (there was a reprint in 1939). 8" x 11" with 96 numbered pages, full of both color and black & white illustrations. Cloth binding with pictorial paste-down and pictorial endpapers. Pictures of animals with grommet joints and patches. Each of the animals has its own story told in rhyme ("rime").

Given to me as a Christmas present by my mother, purchased from an antique shop in Maine last summer. A treasure to add to my collection of vintage and antique children's books.
