To be beautiful don't need to be very expensive. This is one of my favorite necklaces made of very fine filegree silver "flowers"with a heart of cobalt blue enamel. Simple but beautyful don't you agree?

      So nice!
I inherited a brooch from my grandmother that looks similar to the flowers of your necklace. Its silver, marked 835 and has the same blue enameling. The filigree has two 'layers' though.
I was always wondering about its age and origins...Do you think it could be flemish of is it really from holland?
      Thanks,
      Nina (from Belgium)

Good morning Newtimes, it is always very interesting to look at where a piece of jewelry is created and also what time is important. That is why I, just like you, are always curious to know. But whether this necklace was created in Holland or in Flanders I can realy not say. In the past we finally belonged to the same country so that is why it is difficult but this would indeed also very good be of Flemish origin. I do know that in Holland many filigree jewelry are made in the past. Fun to "meet" you here in distance so close to me !

I just found this forum yesterday and I absolutely love it. So much info.
By this forum I alos just found out I have a small Valo Koru brooch!
This is really a nice way to learn a lot about jewelry.
Its a pitty we dont have such a forum in Belgium and Holland.
Thanks for the info, I'm looking forward on 'meeting' you again.

Nina, show us your brooch and we can look if it's just like my necklace. Indeed this is a very interesting site for all collectors of all kind of things and we can learn a lot of each other.
