Thanks for the likes and loves but can anyone tell me more
With jade items you really need to provide good quality photos... try shooting in on a white back ground and making sure that the camera doesn't 'jiggle'... being able to see the carving marks helps date the object and a white background with natural light (no flash or direct sunlight) will help with the color. The bright green color that is popular today (jadeite) was not used very often in older carved pieces... the white to spinach colors (nephrite) was much more prized by the Chinese.
I added pitchers to my jade I don’t know if there any better but can you take a look
These photos help... it is hard to get good photos of jade... but from what I can tell, this looks like a carving of one of the 'Immortals' on the front and a dragon on the back... 'best guess' is that it is early 20th century from the carving style... if the 'grit' in the holes is ground in, rather than just being an accumulation of 'stuff over time', it might be a little bit older... It appears to be a Chinese longevity pendant probably nephrite jade.
What is it's size?
It's just over 2"
I have never cleaned it
Would I want to soak it and use a tooth brush on it
Did you happen to see the other green jade that I have it’s the same size?
no ... just use some fine oil like 'sewing machine oil' and a soft cloth... you do not want to take off the patina ... again, the photo of the other piece is not clear enough.. and you should have the metal tested to see if it is silver...
it sure looks like jade, but the jade experts know lots more!
