I have a railroad calendar that says August 1947 on the back. It is a Missouri Pacific Lines, route of the Eagles metal sign with a blue train passenger car on it. There is a box with the months and days on cards that must be changed daily to show the date. Each card has a number on each side so they can be switched. Months are likewise-but there are 4 months on each. For example one card has August then turn it upside down and it says July. Turn it over and it says May then upside down from that says June. How old is it and what is it worth? It has been in our family since 1947 but could be older than that.
It dates from the 40's and is commomly referred to as a "perpetual calendar". Missouri Pacific made several of these over the years I have an older version with a green backgound and a steam engine. These generally sell for $75 to $100.
