1924 - 1928 Winnie the Pooh, 1st Printing, Second State Methuen

After much research I have come to the conclusion that these are in fact rebound original printings & that the original book covers & band were bound into the back of each book.
New covers are Morrocan leather, raised band, paper-over-boards with decorative gilting and gilted pages. Gauffered edging in gold gilt. Inside feathered boards matching band color of each book.
Marginalia penciling noted.
