Looks like 1376 B from Hagemeier. I don't own one of these beauties but two have sold in the Antique Barbed Wire Society auction. One in Sept. 2010 for $80 and another in May of 2011 for $320. That is quiet a swing in price. When 2 collectors want the same wire, the sky is the limit. Thanks for posting SWAP41, wer're looking forward to many more.

LEGEND SAYS THERE ARE ABOUT 21 PIECES OF PHILLIPS COCKLEBURR
WIRE AND THESE WERE LISTED AS THE RAREST IN THE BOOK.
THIS BATES PATENT MAY TURN OUT TO BE MUCH SCARCER

I obtained one of these (Bates) a few years ago I believe shortly after the purchase of the Campbell hoard. The number 6 sounds about right from what I was told.
I have a list on paper of Cockleburr owners buried in my archives that I compiled over 10 years ago. I could be responsible for this legend of 21 pieces. A few of the owners have passed away since. 1 piece may have perished in an Oklahoma tornado, and more tragically the owner himself went with it. Another unaccountable piece was sold to an elderly oil heiress in Wyoming. This piece was encased in a glass top coffee table along with a bunch of other rare wires in the 1980's. Personally, I believe there to be from 19 to 40 in existence. As for Autry Brown's "Wires of the West" #436, WEW! One of the holy grails of wire collecting.
