I was given this bowl in 1969 by a friend. she told me it was her grandmothers which would put it late 1800s its 91/4 dia 4'" tall 1/2" thk. has a real nice ring to it. I couldnt find a bowl with this design on the net' real nice to look at especially knowing approx. age/ Would like to know info on this bowl? The bowl has no signature or ID mark.

This is American Brilliant Period (ABP) cut glass. It is a berry bowl. Very well could be from the late 1800s, this style persisted into the early years of the 20th century. Most ABP cut glass is not marked.

Original advertisements refer to bowls this size as berry bowls, sometimes "fruit" or "salad" bowls as well. You are thinking of what people now call "individual" berry bowls, SF. Originally those were termed "nappies"
