i have know ideal what this is or what it was for there is a box that open on the top with a leather cover and a long bar that goes in each hole the third picture is the bar and has the anchor on it might be home made but have know ideal
Now this is certainly interesting. It looks like a small ice box or cooler. It looks like a drain hole in the center picture. Lots of rust makes me think liquid drained out of it. Guess I will follow this one and hope someone has more info. Thanks for sharing.
Pictures are much too close and we do not get any idea of size or scale can you help us out just a little bit ? I'm thinking it might be an old 'Cold Box' from the days when milk was delivered.......Just a guess...
