I think she is right on, this look like the repro's sold in the early eighties. Use the enlarge feature and look at the paint, the sign, screws and inside metal. Being found in a barn is no different than being purchased at an estate sale, auction or flea market. That is where most repro's are passed off to the unknowing. Compare it to a period Glasscock Cooler and it is obvious.

I kinda figured you knew, but for all the other people out there that don't have a clue, it's an opportunity to learn. And the answer to her quetion is that its from the eighties. And if it was mine I would try to hide it a barn or any other dark hole.

One other thing I noticed, no brass manufacturing plate that Glascock used. The old coolers didnt say "Drink" either, just Coca Cola. but you could order differant signs on them. I'm learning as I go and this sight helps a lot, thanks for posting.

Thanks so much ya'll. I figured the paint and body was too 'fresh' looking for it to be very old. Since it might be from the 80s like me I like it more. Thanks a bunch again!

Thanks for posting it, it makes a excellent learning tool. Your intuition is on spot, it's all about the "patina"
