Can anyone tell me more so I can fide a value for it
Manufacturers originally called this color canary. Modern collectors call it "vaseline"
This pattern was made by Central Glass Company. Central gave numbers to most of their pattern lines, this one being no exception. I don't recall the original factory number, nor do I recall the "aka" name collectors gave to it.
It is a compote or comport, but when this was sold back in the 1880s, it was referred to as a "high footed bowl" or "footed bowl". This would have had a cover originally. These were made in various sizes, from approx. 6" to approx. 9", graduating in 1" increments.
You'll find this pattern in Marilyn Hallock's book on Central Glass. I may have some Central catalog pages that include this pattern. I can look if you cannot locate Hallock's book. I'd check with your public library, they may have it.
It certainly is eye candy for collectors!
