This is an unusual piece of WW2 trench art and was probably used as a desk paper weight.

The central piece is a ship anchor point. It shows some markings that I am not familiar with. The one visible appears to be a large "A" with smaller "DARS" underneath, but I cannot be certain.

The two attached .50 cal rounds will rotate and both bear WW2 dates-- "42" and "43".

Overall the item is in very good condition.

Any thoughts on the ships piece are appreciated.

I bought it at an antique store in OR about 15 years ago.

It is an unusual style and VERY heavy. I wish that I could ID what type of ship had this particular type of tie off point.
