Hi Everyone! This is my first post here although I visit the site generally 2-3 times daily because of the knowledgeable expertise you each have and I have been able to correctly identify and/or date so many pieces with the help of CW.
The first 2 pics are by a designer named LERITZ. I have unsuccessfully tried to locate info on this person for about 8-10 years. The closest I ever came was via a Belgian Auctionhouse offering a demi-parure that sold for $1700 EUR (approx $2300.USD). Via computer translator, the owner & I discussed placement of my 8 or 9 parures by LERITZ in that years upcoming catalog. He was as mystified by this designer as I and I have still had no responses to any of my queries. Sadly, my computer crashed taking with it all means of contact with the owner and I simply cannot find him or the auctionhouse. His info was only that LERITZ (gender unknown) was from France and his work was circa 1940-1950s. I have 14lbs of this spectacular jewelry. There has also been a little speculation from local jewelers that the numerous 'colored' stones are in fact real semi-precious stones.
I apologize for the length of this but I am trying to condense 8-10 years into a few paragraphs.
The other 2 photos are of a bracelet that has tested positive for 9k gold content but I am still not certain due to a little discoloration on some spots. The craftsmanship is wonderful, the stones are the yellow color of topaz but are most likely glass and are set in a sort of wrapped around sleeve (1/8" w) that has a top edge like saw teeth (sorry, I am not yet familiar with the proper terms) that act as prongs. The finding is a simple spring 'c' clasp. I would really like to find an approximate date or era and any other info as this bracelet is exquisite in design and workmanship. I appreciate your looking at these pieces and look forward to any/all acknowledgments, suggestions, etc.
I decided to post here after discovering tomhanks2220's post of the beaded cloth bib necklace. I have the shoe buckles that match his bib exactly! And I also have an exact match to EHBAntiques coral pin and it does indeed test at 9K, so VintageLove was absolutely correct in her assessment. Looking forward to any/all responses and will follow with other posts! Thanks for helping and thank you, CW for this site!
